How to manually set the expiration date on a listing/from old site

I just recently purchased the Vantage theme in while setting things up I am unable to get the settings right where any new users would be able to add their business to my site, I mean there is no way for a first time user to register and only asked for a username that have been previously registered on the site I'd like to know exactly what I'm doing wrong and also I'm going to import some old listings from previous site that I operated with Expression Web and want to know exactly how I can manually set the expiration dates because I have some listings that are paid up from one to four years before they expire?
