Importing new users with their email addresses

I need to use the importer to upload new listings and assign a specific user and email address to each one.

the goal is to be able to send reminder emails to users from within the directory.

in the CSV file, can I create a new author (listing1) and then have a custom field with their email address (listing1@email.com)?

Once imported, will "listing1" be the user/owner and will his email address be assigned correctly?

I would appreciate any help on this.
