Mac user need help with utf8 encoding

I've download the example (listing importer) and I cleared out row 2 and replaced with 50 listings (as a test). However, the importer is rejecting the import. I read you need to have utf-8 encoding. I am having a difficult time getting the file in that format. I've tried google doc. I upload in .txt file format and then download. Saved again and didn't get any results.

Any help will be appreciated.
