Thread: no category needed when adding event

no category needed when adding event

I removed all event categories so that users don't have to select one when creating a new event.
However, the submit page throws an error as this appears to be a required field.

How can I change it and remove event categories?
Vantage is not smart enough to know that no categories exist and just ignores it.

Or is there at least a way to have one selected by default?
