Old version Location destroys search
Vantage Version 1.1.4 (don't laugh I'm stuck with this).. previous developer who put this up wrote a child theme but also amended, edited and drastically changed a great deal in the main theme folder.. upgrading to 1.3.3 just ruined everything so i'm stuck with putting 1.1.4 back in place using the old files ... that leaves me with the problem the site seems to always have had when it was originally installed... the search works when it is just a category selected, but when the location is engaged, when a zip code is placed in the path it stops reporting everything listings with the exact same zip code do not show up. In the theme this is done two ways. A 'get' url based search from a drop down and a 'post' form based submission inherent to the theme it appears for category and location . Has anyone ever run into this disaster before? I need to get this fixed and since the site owner (not me i'm the dude hired to try to fix it all) just had to pay for the license again since the ownership was the old developer and not him and he had no license the developer did, and now we have access to this illustrious support forum, perhaps someone saw this problem way back in 1887 when this version was new.
