Featured Image and Photo Gallery Seperated

Hi there,

I still have difficulties of getting the listings set up properly when using a photo gallery as well. It also confuses users when they setup a new listing.
The most important thing I'm trying to achieve is:

When creating a new listing (vantage standard form or custom form) allowing to choose a featured image that doesn't change when adding or changing photo's for the gallery.

At the moment there is no clear way for people to create a listing with a dedicated featured image and adding a photo gallery, without getting it mixed up.
Please advice.

I already tried the Banner image code snippet. It works for keeping the Main image and photo gallery separated, but it doesn't utilises the WordPress featured image function.
And it is very important to have a featured image (open graph purposes).
