Adding a new Page - Silly question

Hi All

I am using Jobroller 1.6.5 with default theme.

When i create a new page, this new page shows up automatically in the default Menu. One fix for this is to have the new page under a parent so as it does not show up in the Menu.

Is there a way to create a new page without making this workaround? It's not good to have a new page at a 2nd hierachical level for SEO purposes. The closest your content (in the new page) to the home page, more your website is well read by search engines.
