Enhancing the contact form in JobRoller
I have seen this come up as a request a number of times, but to my knowledge, no one has written up a solution so far.

Today, I will start with something rather simple, adding a dropdown list of options that I have labelled "Type of Message". By that I mean that the person completing the form should be able to tell the recipient (webmaster in most cases) into what category his or her message falls: tech issues, bug reports, website content or other. So, here we go:

As I am sure you already know, the form is generated in a file called tpl_contact.php that can be found in the theme folder. Open up this file in your preferred editor (Notepad, TextEdit or a dedicated html-editor are all fine - MS Word is not)

First, let's take care of the HTML part, that is what your form will look like in the front-end. Scroll to the very bottom of the file to find the following lines:

Next, we need to tell our system about the new possibilities. For this, we go back to the top of the file.

Finally, we need to make certain the person completing the form on our website makes use of the drop-down list.
