JobRoller Roles at Registration

I'm trying to change the Registration/Login page to allow a new registrant to register as a Job-Seeker, a Job-Lister (Employer), a Recruiter, or a Contributor - all valid roles according to the User Roles list in Admin. I've edited the Registration/Login page to offer a choice of 4 radio buttons for these 4 roles.

I've also installed the Plugin WP Roles at Registration Version 0.20 By NetTantra. This plugin asks the user to choose his role on the website during registration from a list of selected roles. Setting up the roles to display in the plugin, gives a check-box list to select from the 8 roles allowed in JR, and I've checked on the 4 roles I need to allow.

But when I try to register as either a Recruiter, or a Contributor, I get the error message "Notice: Invalid Role!" and the registration fails.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?
