Location issue

There is a problem when choosing location if posting a job. Some locations cant be found such as regions or simply selecting a country. Instead it will take you to small town within the country and this is then listed on the job listing.

Is there any way to choose countries or regions instead? If not Is there any way to simply have a text box or drop down box instead of the google map? This way people can just put their location in manually
