Simple question on translating JobRoller

Hi,

I'm using JobRoller 1.6.5 in FRENCH; I used the available catalog from JobRoller 1.6 as a good start to generate the jobroller-fr_FR.mo.

Having done this, i noticed that there were few phrases and words missing and thus they are still present in ENGLISH in the website, but not a big deal till now.

Now with the JobRoller 1.7, i noticed in the screenshot that there were many changes and text additions and so will be in future versions of JobRoller i guess.

So, my question is: How could i use my existing jobroller-fr_FR.mo (working for JR 1.6.5) above to generate the .mo for JR 1.7 but this time to have ALL the text translated correctly including the new text coming with JR 1.7.

Translation is a long and hard process so it will be a big waste of time to translate JR 1.7 frm scratch without using the .mo file from previous version.
