translation with poedit : question concerning special characters

    hi,

I am going to translate the jobroller theme (and hopefully make it available for everybody as soon as I finish).

I read this in your tutorial :
Important Note: Some text characters need to be converted into html entities otherwise they will not display correctly. A very common example is a word containing an apostrophe or single quote (‘) which needs to be replaced with ' — for example, Chloe O’Brian should be written as Chloe O'Brian. Kind of strange I know but that’s just how the parser works. For a complete list of html entities, visit W3Schools.

Does it mean that I also have to replace accentuated characters like é, è, à, ê by their html entities code?
If so that seems a huge task (which was already huge enough without this...9142 lines to translate!!)
