Updating GeoLocating Files To Get Location Search to Work

I saw in another post that these are the files(from version 1.7) I would need to update in order to get the GeoLocation to work correctly in the location search:

/includes/admin/install-script.php
/includes/theme-enqueue.php
/includes/theme-functions.php
/includes/theme-geolocation.php
/includes/indeed/theme-indeed.php

I'm still using version 1.65 and can't update to 1.7 just yet. What I'd like to know is that if I update just these files will it cause a conflict with any other files from the 1.65 version?
