   That's not many listings, not enough to cause a server load problem. Your site loaded quick for me using Safari on a Mac and Pingdom reports about 3 seconds load time.

    I am using Vantage 3.0.3 and do not have any issues, however you appear to be using a child theme. If so I think you have to ask the child theme developer for help.

    Do you mean you had blog posts on the home page ? If so you can set this in WordPress admin > Reading Settings You can set static pages there maybe changing the settings will do what you want.
