But it is correct, all the same. In WordPress, there can be only 1 active theme, at a time. The link to the parent theme is in style.css - and you only deactivate Vantage, which does not physically...

Meaning, if you go to Appearance> Themes, Activate a different theme such as Twelve Twelve or Twenty Fourteen.

First off, have you tried logging out as your Wordpress admin, and then testing whether captcha appears? I use Si Captcha (amongst other things), and this definitely doesn't show if you're logged in...
