The recommend workaround on this is to use the language files because it will not be overwritten when update comes. Just create an English to English translation of the text string that...

never mind, it's a shortcodes plugin that didn't like the upgrade to 3.6 (was working since 1 year) and made all this mess. It's disabled and now all seems back to normal

check in the loop.php, loop-ad_listings.php and loop-featured.php. you`ll have to edit it from there.
