Any way to make more custom post types?

I am looking at Vantage theme for doing a directory site but with the twist that is to be a site which is all about the history of a city.

I have looked at the demo and Listings could be turned into places and events perhaps for historical events in the city. But I was planning doing a section with historical local people too. I gather it requires a great deal of technical know how to customize the Vantage theme for this. There is no easy way of cloning a exisiting post type like listings and make a new from that right?

There is nothing built into the theme specifically to allow addition of more custom post types to be created, so it would involve customization on your part. You can find related documentation on the WordPress codex. Our themes are not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications if you wish. Thanks.
