Before buying

I want to buy clipper, but I see two choices, one for $100 without psd files, and one for $150 with psd files.

After looking at the demo site, my question is, is there really alot of graphics on the theme? that are worth the $50 extra dollars? Alot of theme looks like css color changes. Am I wrong?

The Photoshop .psd files include all the layout/color/size information for each type of page used in the theme as well as color templates and logos/buttons, however you still need knowledge of css in order to make use of them. Regardless of whether or not you choose the standard or developer license, you can still customize the theme. If you purchase the standard license initially and decide to upgrade to developer later on, you can do that if you wish. Thanks.

But what I am trying to figure out, is what part of the themes are graphics? and which graphics come with the psd's


are all the psd's included for all of these? or do only certain ones have real psd's for them?

also is there a future clipper release that would be changing the theme layout that is in the process? I see there is a release for Summer 2013, which is now, but wondering if I should wait to buy, or buy this version then upgrade?

The image files you have listed are all contained in the actual theme files, they're not in the .psd files. The share coupon and Clipper logo is included though.

If you did purchase the theme now and were going to be making changes to the layout, then we recommend the use of a child theme to minimize the loss of your modifications when you upgrade. We don't have any immediate plans to change the layout of the default theme. Thanks.

So you are saying there is only 2 psd files? for the share coupon graphic, and for the logo?

Nope, there are 12 .psd files, for all the pages. Emphasis is on page layout rather than individual graphics, but as stated, those image files are all included in the theme files anyway.

i understand i can upgrade to the psd's later, but if I don't know what is included then how can I make a decision to upgrade to it?


for example, on the clipper demo homepage, there is a "featured coupons" button, this is made up of 3 graphics, and the squiggly line that is on its right and left are another 2 graphics, if someone wanted to change the colors of those graphics, are the psd's included for them?

either way, it would be nice to know what psd's come with it, because it is hard to make a decision of what to buy, without knowing what you are buying

Sorry, I've explained it as much as I can to be honest and am not sure what else to clarify at this point. The "Pages" I refer to are as mentioned earlier, index page, single listing coupon page, blog page.. Every single little image contained within the theme is not available as an actual individual .pdf file, but the image itself you have listed whether it's a .gif or .png is available in the theme files. In your example, the squiggly menu line is not a separate .pdf file, it's a layer on the index page layout.

If you are confident with your knowledge of .css then you may not even need the .pdf files at all, you can still make modifications to the theme without them. If you're ultimately relying on every image being in the form of a .pdf, then this is not the case. Thanks.
