Can i use CalssiPress with the ".com" version of WordPress?

Hi,

This probably sounds a stupid questions but i am just starting with WordPress.

I came across ClassiPress when searching for classifieds templates solutions for a site im planning to lauch. I will use WordPress because yours is the best template i found.

So... my question is: Can i use CalssiPress on the ".com" version of WordPress, with free hosting? Or do i have to download and learn to use the ".org" features and contract a paid hosting service?

You will have to used the downloaded version. There are too many customizations that fall outside of the .com framework.

Hi I want to use classipress and a child theme. When I choose my domain name do I have to have .org or can I have .co.nz (I'm in NZ). I can't buy classipress til I know the answer because I need my domain name to have .co.nz.

Yes you can use whatever domain name you like, the original question relates to installation of our themes on the free WordPress.com blogs as outlined here (which incidentally, no our themes cannot be installed on those). Thanks.

Do I need Classipress downloaded and paid for, before I can use the Classipress Ultra Classifieds theme?

Can I have as many advertisements on my page that will fit or is there a limit as on the Classipress Ultra Classifieds demo, it only shows 4, but I don't want to limit my potential earnings.

So initially you need to have your own hosting set up, and on that you install an instance of WordPress (from WordPress.org OR if you're with a host who has a 1-click installation you can use that). One that instance of WordPress you can install the ClassiPress theme. The domain you purchase can be whatever you want, co.nz or otherwise.

Yes, the Ultra Classifieds child theme requires you to have the parent ClassiPress theme installed first as it will not function without it. The child theme and ClassiPress theme are separate purchases.

There are set ad spaces (assuming you refer to ad banners etc rather than actual ad listings), so you can configure these within the ClassiPress admin dashboard, and for other ad spaces not configurable, if you want to add more you would need to customize the theme to include more ad spaces unless its in the sidebar where you can just use more widgets.
