classipress - portuguese, wordpress and domains

Hello,

I want to buy the complete version of classipress but I have a few doubts. Do you have a portuguese language file available? I'm new to wordpress. Do I download it, do you supply installation instructions for classipress upon purchase, do I set it up myself. Is it a standalone site? How do I go about installing it? Also, I have 3 domains which I purchased today and which I want to use to set up classipress. I have sent 2 emails and did not get a reply yet. I would like to make the purchase as soon as possible, but need these questions answered so I don't risk buying it and then not know how to work with it or set it up.

Hi Ana-

If you want to use ClassiPress on more than one site, you need to purchase or upgrade to the developers license. This costs $150 but if you already purchased a single license, you can just upgrade for $100.

I recommend you download and install wordpress and get familiar with it first before buying classipress. Once you understand how it works the classipress community can help you get classipress uploaded and installed but you need to know the wordpress basics first. ;-)

Also one of our customers has already translated classipress into Portuguese so that will make things easier for you once you make the purchase. I can send you the file then.

Many thanks for your insight. I've installed Wordpress through my web host provider. wonderfull! automatic!! one less pain! now, i've looked at it, nothing special. it seems simple. now what is the next step. do I create a blog, is that a blog already and what to do before I purchase the deceloper license? I can find out how to upload classipress but is there something I need to do before in WP like create a blog or folder...please enlighten me.

I'm quite experienced at creating websites and dealing with computers but now I feel a complete loser with this installation of classipress.

I've been doing a lot of reading and found instructions on how to upload a wp theme. I assume the same is valid for uploading the classipress theme

I have to upload the classipress downloaded files into my ftp server using filezilla which I already use a lot with my sites.

Let's see if I got it right:

After I purchase classipress and download it:

-use ftp to connect to host account

-navigate to where wp is installed and locate the /wp-content/themes/ directory. I upload the classipress files

-activate the theme within the wp admin panel.

I've done tests with the default themes within wp and understand how it works. I hope it will work the same way with classipress. I don't see anything on the net about uploading classipress on to wp.

I want to buy tonight. I hope i know the wp basics already.

Hi David,

Does the classipress theme come with installation instructions? Because themes can provide special optional functionality that may require more steps than the basic installation steps covered in wordpress site. If so, I want to go ahead and buy today. Please let me know. Ana

Hi Ana-

You pretty much got the steps down for uploading a new theme. ClassiPress is exactly the same when uploading a theme and also includes basic configuration instructions as well. You will need to configure some plugins you it would be a good idea to get familiar with installing a few too. ClassiPress comes bundled with several plugins that you'll want to use to get the most out of ClassiPress.
