Hi,

I'm currently in a country where google maps isn't very advanced..
I read that the new release (3.1) includes Google maps with geo-mapping for precision accuracy. Does this mean that user can pin-point on a map their exact location instead of letting google guess their location based on the info they input? If not, can you please explain and let me know if google maps option can be used in foreign countries ?

No, it's not in the form of a map to select from, your customer still have to input their location details in the required fields.

Yes, the theme can still be used in foreign countries. What country specifically are you planning to use it in?

I was thinking of using it in Saudi Arabia. However they don't have a zip or postal code system.. So the exact location cannot be pin-pointed unless indicated by a user on a map..

I have 3 more questions:
1- Is it possible to remove the Google Maps location (In case it doesn't work well with my country).
2- Is it possible not to show "State" when a user adds an ad (Since there are no states in saudi..)

And last, is there a working demo of the latest candidate version released 2 days ago ?

1. Yes it can be done by removing few codes in the file.
2. Yes, you can remove the state field in the custom form through the Classipress admin settings.

I believe the development team is still working on updating the demo site using the latest release.

SO we can't insert google maps..It will be a great help for people who are not really familiar with google maps,,

Google Maps is already part of the theme by default. Whether or not your country is supported is another issue.

How can i change it to work in the uk as i dont believe there is an alabama in the uk. Thanks
