Home page customisation etc

Hi,

I'm just about set on Classipress but I have a few questions before I purchase. I have tried searching this forum but have not found an answer so I apologise in advance if this information is already available.

1. Can the Featured Listings be turned off?
2. Can I add introductory text to the home page to explain what the site is all about - e.g. in a 100% width text box or similar?

Hi Mark, no problem, we are happy to clarify any questions you have before you purchase :)

1. Yes, you can turn this off easily from within the ClassiPress admin dashboard.
2. There is no default area for this to occur, so if you were not going to use a basic sidebar text widget for this, then it would require some customization of the default theme on your part in order to insert this on the actual homepage. ClassiPress is not encrypted though, so you are free to make such changes if you wish.
