The support forums are only accessible to verified AppThemes customers (i.e. those who have purchased a theme), so this is why registration options are not available, however we are of course happy to answer any pre-sales questions you have, here.
1. The default theme does not have location options outside of the standard search, but the
Multi-City JR plugin offers the location filter functionality you describe. The plugin page doesn't specifically mention how it works with the Indeed feed listings, however if you wish to clarify this to be sure, you are welcome to post in the comments section of the product page and ask the plugin developer directly (note, it is not developed by AppThemes).
2. You can set some of the display options for Indeed listings from within the Integration configuration page as shown on the
JobRoller admin demo under "Display". In terms of the actual number of listings displayed, this is determined by your own WordPress settings (how many posts per page).
3. As per answer 2. the number of posts which display is based on what you choose before they are taken to the next page.
4. This thread you mention was posted in March 2012, and the issue was that the Indeed API wasn't working well for a site with "very restrictive location constraints". The solution was implemented in version 1.6 of JobRoller in the form of the "Location radius" search option.
5. This one was from May 2011, and specifically relating to results:
JobRoller uses what is called a
fuzzy match for the search, so this is why you're not going to get only the exact keywords you type in. If a search was too restrictive, then you run the risk of people using different keywords to what you might expect them to, and end up with no results..
6. This was probably clarified in answer 2. in terms of how you can choose for Indeed listings to display.
7. I don't think I need to go back and check this thread specifically because I know that it will definitely be an older thread prior to when the Indeed feed integration changed. That is, that previously jobs from Indeed were actually pulled into the JobRoller site and saved as posts (which as you can imagine, could cause quite the build-up of posts in the database). This later changes so that listings were instead dynamically displayed, so the issue with deleting those jobs was no longer an issue. The changes are explained in more detail in
this blog post relating to version 1.5 of JobRoller.
8. From the back end, the "Jobs" portion of the
JobRoller admin dashboard allows you as the admin to filter by month (although not by category). In the
AppThemes marketplace, there is the
Count plugin which can display some stats in the sidebar, with other
default widgets for popular, and new job listings etc.
9. Featured jobs are those that are highlighted and displayed above regular listings, and sponsored jobs are the Indeed feed listings.
No problem at all, I hope this information helps :)
