Location field

Hi, I've been doing my research and after contemplating a few classified themes I think I'm going to got with Classipress. Before I go ahead I was wondering however if it's possible to include a third field for location, what I'd like to do is similar to http://www.gumtree.com.au/ so the user can type in what there looking for in 'field 1' in 'field 2' would be a drop down for the categories and then the 'field 3' would be a location drop down or search field. The reason for this is that I'm looking to create a classifieds for a particular geographic location.

Hi Callum, adding an extra search field to the main search bar would require some customization on your part as there is no option in the ClassiPress admin which allows for this to be done via existing settings. You may wish to note that there is an advanced search available in ClassiPress though, which appears in the category sidebar as "Refine results" as you can see from the demo site. There you can break it down to a more specific location search, including other fields, based on what you set up in the admin. Our themes are not encrypted, so if you were looking to make such modifications, you're certainly free to do so. Thanks.

That Refine Results would probably work, Is there a way to change the currency on this widget? from $ to £ also, as the site would be covering a certain geographical area I wouldn't need 'country' or 'state' instead 'town' or 'area' would work better as the site is going to cover a county, is it possible to edit this?

Yes, you can definitely set the currency symbol from within the ClassiPress admin dashboard here. Also, you can easily edit the field values of the custom fields, for example "State" you could edit the title to "Town" if you wish, and replace all the default US states with those locations relevant to your country.
