    Promo Codes

    Hi there

I'm looking at (when purchased), allowing fans via my Facebook Fan page to get a "promo code" to get 50% off their first listing only.

i.e. Person A has 3 things to sell. Each listing cost i.e. £1 (£3 in total), user enters "promo code" at payment gateway, and receives a 50% Discount Off only 1 of his items, making it 50p to list, bringing the total to £2.50 rather than £3.00

    Is this possible?

You can set up a coupon to work for a certain number of times, for a specific time frame, but the only way you could make it only work once, for 1 user would be to give them an individual code (which of course would be a real hassel). So, at this time, no it's not possible with the current version (unless you made customizations of your own to enable this to happen).

The ClassiPress Admin Demo shows exactly what you can set in terms of the specific coupons.

That wouldn't be too bad I suppose.

So I could as you said, set up a coupon, based on the fields on the ClassiPress Admin..

    Code: FB-AD-50
Description: Get 50% Off your listings for 1 week
    Discount: 50
    Type: %
    Max Usage: 1
    Start Date: 18th Jan 2011
    End Date: 25th Jan 2011
    Coupon Status: Active
