seamless integration of several functionalities with Vantage

I'm building a directory site that is more of a combination of a directory site, review site, upcoming events site and deals site.

I have yet to find a theme or plugin that allows me to have all these capabilities and so it seems that I'll have to add each functionality with separate plugins. Plus I'd like to have a billing or payment system that isn't separate for each functionality. You seem to have built a framework for just such a patching together and I'd like to get your perspective on whether or not Vantage with additional plugins can get the job done.

The site will allow people to find workshops, seminars and free self-study courses. Which means the site must have the ability to have a business profile (the business owner) who may have multiple course listings e.g John Brown would be the business owner but he has multiple seminars. These would be the listings. Each seminar listing will have several upcoming dates in different cities. I'm thinking of having these as events.
And i'd also like the business owner to offer promotions/deals for upcoming course dates (the events). So for an upcoming John Brown seminar in new York you could get a 50% savings if you sign up before Dec 30th.

So the business owner would have several course listings and each course listing will have several upcoming dates in different cities. There should also be a deal associated with an upcoming event. They must all connect to each other and the business owner who will have to pay for whatever he is using.

Business owners should be able to claim listings and pay for featured listings, featured events, deals and of course ads on the site.

Do you think Vantage can patch these different functionalities together and bill the business owner in an integrated way i.e. one bill that he can pay for whatever he uses vs. having separate bills/invoices for each one?

Lastly, are there different themes that would work with Vantage? Everybody has their own style I guess and while the Vantage theme is nice I'd prefer a different style.

    Thanks for your feedback.

You say I don't need to be logged in to leave a pre-sales question. Good. But it's standard practice to leave your email so that you can be alerted when someone replies. I was not asked for my email so it seems that I must keep this page open and keep checking for your response.

That's doesn't make me feel confident about the quality of your product or service. Especially since I can't even register so that I can be alerted.

I must be missing something because this could not be as stupid as it seems. What am I not getting in this process? Maybe this is a live chat?

Ultimately as you have already pointed out, these are not all features found within the one theme itself, so it would require customization on your part if you were looking to implement additional features such as businesses being able to offer coupons/promotions on their listing (outside of adding information to the listing description). Our themes are not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications if you wish. Vantage itself is a stand alone theme, so when you refer to use with other themes, I assume you mean for styling. Again, this can be done through customization, and we would recommend the use of a child theme if you are looking to make a lot of changes to the default theme.

Whilst AppThemes doesn't offer customization services, we do have a certified partners page where you can find developers for hire who are experienced at working with our products.

No, this is not a live chat. We've used various methods to deal with pre-sales questions and currently this registration-free forum option has been the most utilized as the majority seem to prefer no registration required, which of course comes with the issue of non-notification. We may look at other more direct methods in future. Thanks.

thanks Pepsi. Do you know of any examples of sites using your plugins to build the functionality I described?

Also, yours is the first site I've seen that did not ask for an email so that the user can be notified. This is not the same as registration and is easy and convenient for people on my side. Having to remember to come back and check this page is not a good user experience and makes me wonder about your offers in general. I'm sure they are great, and every detail counts.

Thanks for responding. That was reassuring.

Unfortunately I don't believe there are any specific sites in our customer showcase which offer this functionality, and these sites are submitted by customers so it's possible if someone has done it, we just don't have it in our showcase, ultimately it would require customization. We appreciate the feedback about our pre-sales setup, we are looking to make changes in the near future. Thanks.
