Thread: searching by location & category/subcategory ?

searching by location & category/subcategory ?

1- is it possible to add the location as search option beside categories in the search bar?

2- is it possible to add subcategories to the category option in the search bar? ( in the demo, main categories are only shown)

Searching by category and location is really important. if search by location is not available now, will it be available in the near future?

Assuming you are referring to the ClassiPress theme?

1 - Technically this could be done through customization on your part, however by default, the advanced/location based search fields are found in the category sidebar view as seen on the ClassiPress demo site.

2 - The main search only shows the parent categories, but the large category drop-down will show all subcategories also.

It's unlikely the current setup will change, however ClassiPress is not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications as you wish. Thanks.
