Updating to v1.2

Is the update to Vantage 1.2 expected to be relatively seamless? I'm putting together a site, and am wondering if it makes sense to go ahead and put the site together now and then update or wait until v1.2 is ready.

If v1.2 comes out next week or so, how long should beta take to complete?

If you're not customizing the default theme, then the upgrade process is very straightforward as you are simply replacing the theme files. If you are planning to make customizations to the default theme then we would recommend the use of a child theme in order to retain those changes in the process of an update.

Beta testing typically runs for anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on what kinds of issues may be picked up during that time. Thanks.
