User/Customer Roles

I have a requirement for multiple user roles. For example, we need:

1. A role for car dealerships to lists their automobiles and have a custom page created just for their dealership and have recurring monthly payments.
2. A role for the average person to list an automobile for sale for free.
3. A role for autobody shops to list their business for a monthly fee.

... and possibly more. In terms of navigation, these different scenarios will need to have their own clearly defined categories for the average user browsing the site.

Will ClassiPress support this scenario? If not, are there other plugins that will help us achieve this without a massive amount of custom coding?

ClassiPress by default only has one actual user role, so it certainly would require customization of the theme in order to allow what you describe automatically. There are role manager plugins available, however as we do not officially support third party plugins we cannot guarantee that they will definitely be compatible with our themes. You can allow posting in certain categories only based on subscription/membership packs purchased, and also have custom forms for specific categories, so that aspect would not require customization.
