Another 404 Page Not Found Error (Google Webmasters)

Hi all, i've read the other "Error 404" thread here and I think my case is different (or maybe i didn't search enough).

In my Google webmasters account, i found that there are tons of crawls error (Not Founds)... when i click the link, the pages are indeed 404'd. There is an extra 'archive' in the permalink/URL. When i remove it, the page is ok.

hxxp://forsale-philippines.com/archives/author/bosx13<-- not found
hxxp://forsale-philippines.com/author/bosx13 <-- displays ok (removed the 'archives')

How do i fix this? Or what's the reason for the error? where did that 'archive' came from?
