Classipress Photo viewing problem - all of a sudden

Ok so I really need an answer for this one, because now I have two sites that are doing it.

My one site was working just fine, then all of a sudden the viewing of photos is not working properly.

When I view an ad on the site and then click on a photo, it normally brings it up with a black screen and then I can page through the photos.

Now all of a sudden (and without me changing anything on the site) photos are being displayed in the browser window.

I have two sites doing this now and I have no idea why. I thought it might have been a php version problem but have checked my htaccess and it is correct for implementing php5

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

I have other sites running on the same server, same configuration and the black screen and photo display work fine. Same wordpress version, same classipress version.
