coupon and feature ad

How can I exclude the feature ad cost from a coupon discount.

I have created a coupon with 100% discount for new members to try out free. I would still like these members to have to pay for a feature ad placement if selected. In other words I do not want the coupon discount applied to the feature ad cost.

Can I do this and how?
