Custom fields editor 3.0.5.3 wacky dating in Admin
I am just picking up on ClassiPress again so I am wondering what the answer was to my report a few months ago, just a day after I installed 3.0.5.3, that the lineup--horizontal list of custom fields--seemed to be doing wholesale wacky updating of "Modified" dating.
And, this continues to be a problem.
If I have 20 Custom fields and create a New custom field when I come back to the master list it is a mess as far knowing where anything is. It does not order custom fields by their name alphabetically, it does not order custom fields by last created or type--I never know where to look for a given custom field on this master list. AND more importantly when I look at the "Modified" column I see that if I Created just one new Custom field on February 23 I now have my list littered by other custom fields that now say
"February 23, 2011 5:01 am by admin"
Over 90% of my custom fields, no matter what type, get "updated" when one New Custom field is created.
There is either a runaway function happening here that insists on reaching out and marking other fields with an updated date time-- Or this create function actually DID pick out most of my other custom fields to update,too.
At any rate this whole Custom field listing needs some help to corral it.
I know I reported this before but I cannot find the thread from then....what is the resolution for this?
