Dead image uploader button and

Hi folks,

I have a wierd issue with a clean wordpress and classipress install, the image upload button and browser upload link is totally dead.

For a client i was supposed to upgrade their old wp and cp install, it was running on wp 3.5 and cp 3.19, when done i found this dead
function image uploader on add-new ads. It works ok in admin but not front end.

Then i cleaned up and deleted all plugins, cleaned up database, all file directories etc. re-installed wordpress and classipress and issue is still the same.

Site is hosted with godaddy on php 5.2.17

Does anyone have an idea to what can cause this?
