Fatal Error from re Capitcha

When we click on REGISTER for a new user, the form comes up to add username, password and email. But, there is a section at the bottom right corner that reads:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare_recapitcha_qsencode() previously declared.......

I've tried reinstalling the plugin and getting fresh private and public codes, but I suspect that an earlier code is somehow "stuck" in the system.

Any thoughts? Thank you.
