    Hide Empty Categories Fails & Slider Breaks (different topics)

    Hi guys, thanks for this amazing product!

    I'm having a huge time dealing on how to exclude categories without breaking everything. As soon as I change "hide_empty" to 1 it displays only 2 parent categories on the homepage where it should be more.. I tried tricks posted in the forum but nothing workded..

    Second: the slider.. why is randomly breaking? Have a look: refresh a couple of times if it's not broken and you'll know what I mean:

    Btw, I have a pretty good understanding of WP.
