Newbee Without a Clue
I've been trying to run a basic Classipress site
www.weebay.net without any previous website experience.
There's been good days n bad days but I really need to get a better understanding of the whole thing or better still get someone to sort things out for me.
a) Any good advice on a good step by step route to learning more about running my own site?
Where could I find someone to fix a couple of basic problems (see below)?
b) I've updated to Wordpress 3.3 which seemed fine at first but I seem to have been creating more problems by deleting cache then getting locked out the webpage with fatal errors - 1st time I got back in by restoring a back up then when I went to re-start Jetpack the site disappeared again and I got back in by re-naming the file "twitter-widget.php" as it was showing in the error message!!! Obviously not an ideal solution.
c) I eventually got my "share" buttons back but still cannot get my Facebook Authentication to work again?
Pre-existing items that I've not got a clue about -
d) Can't Facebook profile picks be linked if facebook authentication is used?
e) How can I get my blog and comments page links back on to the navigation(?) bar beside Home & Categories? They have jumped on to the footer bar!!!
f) I've got lots more questions and have tried studying the forums - am I going about this thread the wrong way - could anyone show some mercy to a uneducated fool and point me in the right direction with 1 of my questions please?
