Opinions sought on changing my permalink structure

I currently use:

/%category%/%author%/%postname%/%post_id%/

and this results in some "excess"

e.g. Buy now at StereoList.com | The Future of Hi-Fi Audio Classifieds

I was thinking of changing to use Make and Manufacturer to achieve something cleaner

e.g. http://stereolist.com/digital-audio/...son/no-30-dac/

What do I need to use in my permalink structure though?

%cp_manufacturer% and cp_model? Or can I just use %manufacturer% and %model%

I just save the changes and they are changed. I guess I should develop my dev. site more and try this there.

Feedback welcome though. I'm getting indexed in Google pretty well but it seems that other similar sites use only a small field like make/model to pull into their link; the more concise and FOCUSED terms get indexed better it seems???
