page 2 not working while navigating

Dear support,

even though there are 2000 published ads, on going to the next page from home page it gives the error as below:
Whoops! Page Not Found.
The page or ad listing you are trying to reach no longer exists or has expired.

i tried disabling and enabling the plugins, updated the permalinks.
no changes doe to taxonomies etc.

please help.
this issue started after i enabled prune ads option and set a expiry date of 150 days.
