    parent category

    hi

    i need to see the parent's category and not the child, in this line :

    <span class="folder"> <?php if (get_the_category()) the_category(', '); else echo get_the_term_list($post->ID, 'ad_cat', '', ', ', ''); ?>

    can you help me ? ty
