Password recovery/reset not working (Classipress 3.4.1, WP 4.2.7)

I have had several users report to me that they cannot reset their passwords. I tried it myself and sure enough it does not work.
Below is the process:

1. Click "Lost your password?".
2. Enter "Username or Email" and click "Reset password".
3. Email arrives. Click on link.

This takes you back to the same page where you initially submitted your username or email and clicked reset password.

Was this ever resolved in Classipress version 3.4.1? I do not want to upgrade to the 3.5.x as there are other issues with it.
Please advise, anyone, on how to resolve this password reset loop issue.
