Pingback/Trackback Spam Problem

Hey Everyone,
So my site has been inundated recently with tons of spam through pingbacks and trackbacks.
I am trying to stop this spam, but to no avail. I disabled pingbacks and trackbacks in the Wordpress Admin settings-Discussion, at the "Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)" option. However, this has not fully stopped the pingbacks and trackback spam.

I also choose to approve comments before posting.

I blocked the IP address of some of the culprits.

However, they are still posting the pingbacks and trackbacks!

How can I stem the flow of this spam?
