Problem with header banner doing it from settings by entering the ad code.

Hi, I recently became an ebay partner, so i am now setting up my website with relevant ads etc. I previously had adsense, I had an adsense ad on the top of the page, a header banner. I had this code entered via the advertising tab in classipress settings. I deleted this code and set up a 468x60 banner with the ebay tools. When i enter this into the strings etc and save and then go to the home page, all i see is a line of code along the top of my website. Can anyone advise me on this
