Problem with my site - I am freaking out!
I will first say that I am a complete newbie - please forgive me. I will secondly say that I have searched this forum diligently and have found a couple of answers to my problem that others apprently have shared (seems to be a common problem) -BUT I don't understand the answers in that I cannot figure out what to do. I need someone to explain the solution step by step as if I were a fifth grader - embarassing but true!
The problem is, that when I open my site, I cannot log in as Administrator....when I dom the screen is blank. I know the answers have said FTP this that or the other, and then deactivate your plug ins, or rename your plug ins...etc. I do not understand how to get to the point where I can deactivate anything - I can't even get to the dashboard. I certianly don't understand what FTP means and how I would go about doing that part of the solution.
Can someone suplly me with a step by step that DOES NOT start with "FTP your file to....."
Sorry I need so much help, but really have tried to figure it out on my own without posting a new thread, but I am at my wit's end.
Thank you so much in advance for any help and the person that will take the time out of their day to walk me through this - I really, really appreciate becasue I am afraid I have lost all my work.
