protect wp-admin

Hi, I protected my "wp-admin" folder of wordpress with htaccess file and htpasswrd. It works well on PC but not on mac?

When you are registered on the site and you want to file a classified ad, there is also the login (htpasswrd) prompt.

Maybe a file classipress uses a file wp-admin ?

Thanks for your help and if you have a solution to protect this folder without this problem ?
