Rearranging order of images (front end vs Backend)

So I'm still using CP 3.0.5.3 on one install and lately installed CP 3.1.8 on a demo site, either case, I have yet to find a way to Reorder the display of the images just as we would normally do in
WP's native gallery. Currently, I cant even do it from the back-end as CP doesnt seem to integrate with
WP's native gallery settings.
Example:
Users upload 8 images , the ad gets approved, the user logs in to edit their ad, they realize they want to reorder the images as they mistakenly put Image 1 in the Image 4's position (Yes in my site's case it can be an issue the order of the images), so the ONLY workaround is to delete ALL the images and reupload them in the desired order display.
The worst part
Even if I wanted to reorder the image display from the backend, I can't, going into the
WP gallery icon and viewing the images, dragging them around and saving the settings doesnt work, the ONLY way it would work is if we had inserted the Native
WP Gallery within a post.
Its been a while I wanted to post this thread and seeing that noone else brought it up given it doesnt seem to be a major concern, I'm wondering if there's a more efficient workaround to reorder the images display instead of deleting and re-uploading.
On a side note, anyone managed to increase the number of allocated image uploads to x instead of the maximum 8?
