registering new user problem

Hi there,

I try to register as new user but 2 things happen:

- when the theme auto-generates a password, once the password received in my mail,
I have a login error telling me that my login is wrong when trying to login AFTER having confirmed my email by clicking the link that was sent.
(yes, I carefully tried few time to copy/paste it)

- when I let the visitor to choose a password, he can't do it, because there's only one field to fill,
and the theme nag me to "enter the password twice"

It seems I am not alone in that case, but what can I do?
