Social Connect Plugin Author url issue

I have noted that sometimes when a new user register using his facebook account via Social Connect, the author page url is formed by a facebook id like (example.com/author/sc_b856853bacd81a7d0899d552bb09c485) instead of the author name, however the page title is ok.

Since the author page is an important part of my website, often used by the users to advertise their products, it's much better to have a nice url...

Any ideia on how to avoid that ugly fb id?
