Upgrading to 3.0.5.4 Manually - Coupons

Hey guys,

I'm hoping someone can answer this without too much trouble.

Currently, I'm on 3.0.5.2 heavily modded (can be seen at Farm Needs).

I see in the changelog for v.3.0.5.4 that there were significant improvements to 'coupon bugs'.

1/ Does anyone know what these bugs were? (might not apply to my site)
2/ Does anyone know which pieces of code (in which files) were affected?

I found upgrading breadcrumbs remarkably straightforward, so I'm hoping this will be the same.
