uploading images fails in Chrome on iOS7 on iPhone 5
I tested a ClassiPress site using the Chrome browser on an iPhone 5 running iOS7.
When posting a new ad, I was able to add images
using the "Flash" image uploader.
However, I was
unable to add images using the "Browser" image uploader. When I clicked the "Browse..." button, the device launched the camera, I took a photo with it, and ClassiPress uploaded it and displayed the file name. So far so good. However, after I clicked "Confirm" to go to the next step of the ad posting process, I got an error page saying:
An Error Has Occurred
image.jpg is not a valid image type (.gif, .jpg, .png). Please go back and upload a different image.
("Go back" button)
Questions:
- Have any of you tested uploading photos on Chrome on an iPhone 5 running iOS7?
- Why do you think it fails when using the "Browser" method?
Test environment:
- Page: Add New (Step 1)
- Device: iPhone 5
- Operating System: iOS7
- Web Browser: Chrome
- Other Details: HTTPS enabled on the page
- ClassiPress version: 3.3.1
- WordPress version: 3.7
Sound familiar? I recently posted a similar (but not the same) bug regarding Safari (instead of Chrome), here:
